Message from WOMA

Dear Members and Friends,

It has been another exciting period for the martial arts community. The World Organization of Martial Arts (WOMA) continues to expand its international network, recognize outstanding contributions, and honor the memory of those who have left us.


New Inductees and Appointments

  • Master Ron Balas – Inducted into the WOMA Hall of Fame.
  • Grandmaster June Abaya – Appointed as WOMA Director in Manila, Philippines.
  • Master Richard Kelly – Inducted into the WOMA Hall of Fame.
  • Grandmaster Rick St. Clair – Inducted into the WOMA Hall of Fame.
  • Master David German – Inducted into the WOMA Hall of Fame.
  • Grandmaster Gary Alexander – Recognized for outstanding leadership.

Special Honors & Tributes

  • Grandmaster “Pappasan” James Muro was recognized with membership in the prestigious Kapap organization.
  • Pappasan was also honored by the Brazilian Hall of Fame in São Paulo for his lifelong dedication to martial arts.

International Events

  • November 28 – December 1, 2007Manila, Philippines
    Grandmaster June Abaya hosted the first official martial arts event under WOMA in Manila.
  • January 28, 2008In Memoriam
    The martial arts world mourned the passing of Grandmaster George Lukacs, a highly respected teacher and WOMA member.
  • 2008 Upcoming Events:
    WOMA announced several planned events in the U.S. and internationally, bringing martial artists together for training, recognition, and cultural exchange.

In Memoriam

We remember the late Grandmaster George Lukacs, who passed on January 28, 2008. His contributions to martial arts and to WOMA will always be honored.
